Role: Social Media Coordinator
The Social Media Team exists to tell the story of what God is doing through The Upper Room by capturing, creating and sharing content that reflects the heart, atmosphere and mission of God.
Positions Available: the number of peoplel selected is based on the team's capacity.
Role and Responsibilities
Social Media Coordinators will assist with capturing, creating, and delivering content before, during, and after the conference.
Responsibilities:
- Capturing video, written and/or mobile content during services, prayer moments,
testimonies, and behind-the-scenes activity. - Supporting real-time social media coverage (e.g. stories, short-form content).
- Collecting interviews or testimonies as directed.
- Organising and submitting content to team leads.
- Assisting with post-event tasks such as content delivery, editing, or follow-up
submissions (role dependent). - Serving collaboratively under the direction of Social Media leadership.
Requirements
- A heart for Christ and alignment with The Upper Room’s values.
- Willingness to serve flexibly and be placed where needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Some roles may require personal equipment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with social media, video, or content creation.
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok or digital storytelling.
- Basic editing or creative skills.
Expected Process
- Written Application – Candidates will complete a written application.
- Virtual Interview (1x) – A one to one online interview to discern calling, character,availability, and alignment with Upper Room’s mission and values.
- Prayerful Discernment & Reference Check (if applicable) – The leadership team prayerfully reviews applications and may contact a pastor or spiritual leader for reference.
- Acceptance & Onboarding – Accepted members complete orientation and training.
