Department: Production
Role: Videographer
The Videography Team exists to capture, preserve, and amplify what God is doing. In this team we focus on filming key moments across the conference, including services, worship, speakers, atmosphere, and etc.
The department works closely with Photography, Audio, Lighting, and other Creative
teams to ensure a cohesive visual experience.
Positions Available: the number of people selected is based on the team's capacity.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Videographer, you will help capture meaningful moments throughout the
Upper Room Conference. You’ll be part of a creative, fast‑paced team working together to tell the story of the event through video.
You will primarily serve during the conference days.
Responsibilities:
- Filming conference sessions, worship moments, crowd shots, and atmospheric
footage. - Operating handheld cameras and/or stabilised rigs as directed by the Production Lead.
- Following shot lists and creative direction during live sessions.
- Working collaboratively with other videographers, photographers, and production staff.
- Assisting with basic setup and pack‑down of video equipment.
Volunteers can expect:
- Clear direction and on‑site leadership from the Production Team.
- A team‑based environment with scheduled serving times.

Requirements
- Basic experience with videography (DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema cameras).
- Ability to follow creative direction and work under time pressure.
- Comfortable serving in a live event / worship environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
- The ability to troubleshoot issues and problems that may arise.
- Handling equipment with care and professionalism.
Nice to Have
- Experience filming live events, conferences, or church services.
- Familiarity with gimbals, sliders, or stabilisation tools.
- Basic understanding of framing, movement, and storytelling.
- Understanding of the Camera Exposure Triangle.
- Experience in Broadcast production (Shots/framing/Cam Movement).
Expected Process
- Written Application – Candidates will complete a written application.
- Virtual Interview (1x) – A one to one online interview to discern calling, character,availability, and alignment with Upper Room’s mission and values.
- Prayerful Discernment & Reference Check (if applicable) – The leadership team prayerfully reviews applications and may contact a pastor or spiritual leader for reference.
- Acceptance & Onboarding – Accepted members complete orientation and training.
